Another field trip to Seaside Lagoon

Before going on my field trip with Grace, I harvested more tomatoes from my garden...

and tried on Mama's shoes!

I heart Shamira (my teacher)....in September, I will become a Ladybug and Shamira won't be my teacher anymore :(

Jordan - Playtime

Tomato Harvest

We harvested tomatoes from my garden yesterday. They were delicious!

Both cherry tomatoes and roma tomatoes. Here is my "crop".

In the afternoon, we went to the park. First, I played with Zoe and her friend, Chloe, and Lucy, of course.

Richard chased us around the park. Later, Nyla came with her Mommy.

Beach Rock Climbing

We went to the beach to go rock climbing with Z and Y.....here is Y surfing on a rock...

And, we did a lot of jumping off the rocks!

Jordan Update - Smiling and Heavyweight Champ

This week, Jordan started smiling....more than just the sleeping smiles that some people say are from gas. The above picture was taken by my friend Julie at the hospital on June 23 when Jordan was 1 day old. He sure looks like he was smiling.

Jordan is a heavyweight now. As of Friday, he reached my birthweight (I was 8, 2.6 and he was 8, 2.2). Mama went to the lactation consultant again and he gaind 8 ounces in 7 days!! So, that is more than an ounce a day. Mama and Jordan are doing a great job!

In addition to smiling, Jordan sometimes sticks his tongue out at me!

Double Birthday Saturday: Nyla and Lyla

Today, two of my friends (Nyla and Lyla) both had their birthday parties. Luckily, they were right next to each other....we didn't even have to get in the car to go to the second party (started at 11:30) from the first party (started at 10 am). Nyla's party was first at the Santa Monica Aquarium.

They had a caricaturist...I had mine done, but don't have a picture of me getting it done.

Lyla's birthday party was at the Carousel....I rode the horses many times. They also had a puppet show which was so much fun.

And, after the party, we went to the pier and rode this tiger. Then, I took a THREE hour nap while Mommy, Daddy and Jordan walked around the new Santa Monica outdoor mall. When I woke up at 5 pm, we went to Tati's for dinner and a playdate. What a fun and LONG day!

Swimming....not my favorite

This week, we started swimming lessons....EVERY day. The first day, I almost had my clothes off before we got there.

I couldn't wait. We were early and I dipped my toes in the water.

And, then I waited and waited on my Hello Kitty towel ... "Is it my turn?" I asked mama.

And, then it was my turn. This is Coach Syd. The other Coach's name was Gabrielle. I swam with both of them and we played a game with a pool toy. I was a little scared, but it was fun.

I cried a little.

But I told Mama at night that I had fun and was ready to go again tomorrow.

As the week went on, I became more scared....I didn't want to go in the water. I swam for a total of 2 1/2 hours all week, but spent a lot of time on the step because I insisted that we goback to the step. Mama doesn't know if it is because I am swimming with different people every day (which is the way this swim school gives lessons) or if it is trusting strangers even if it is the same person or if things have just changed since last year when I loved the pool and jumped into Daddy's arms every day....whatever it is, on Friday, I cried almost the entire lesson. So, for now, we are going to get to a pool with Mama and Daddy to get me more comfortable before going back to "lessons"...

and, I am okay with that.
