Gigi's Farmers Market and "Real" Horseriding

Today, we went to "my" Farmers Market ("Gigi's Farmers Market) in the Americana in Glendale. The market had some yummy delights and beautiful produce.

Unfortunately, I slept through our visit to the market...so I can't tell you much about it.

What I can tell you about is my visit to the horses in Griffith Park. What's crazy is that after my 2 hour nap through the Farmers Market and a visit to Starbucks, I woke up and shortly thereafter said "horsies". No one, not anyone, specifically said to me that we were going to the horses. Grandma said that Mama might have talked about it to the adults (but not me) earlier in the morning when discussing what we were doing....so either during my dreamy nap, my subconscious was listening or, I actually remembered Mommy mentioning something in the morning.

As you can see, this is the "real" horsey ride. None of the pony ride around in a circle. I was actually riding a horse all by myself and I LOVED it.

Can you tell?

Rounding the corner for a first place finish

Then, we went to the Artisan Cheese Gallery in Studio City for lunch and I was feeding Daddy some of his salad. I had some yummy Asparagus Soup and bread. Delicious end to a fun day.

Pictures from This Week

This week, we went to the Long Beach Aquarium. They had BIRDS at the Aquarium...huh? See the bird on Daddy's shoulder?

Before the Aquarium, we went to the Counter and had mini burgers, sweet potato fries and a shake. Right, Mommy wasn't there.

With Grandma, reading in my tent.

Joyful Celebration and Many More to Come

This picture is stolen from Julie and Steven's blog. Can you see the joy of the celebration of their new family?
We love you both and can't wait to meet your children.

I have two new FRIENDS! Congratulations, Steven and Julie!

And, I can't wait to meet them. My sweet "Aunt" Julie and "Uncle" Steven have been waiting for far too long for their two sweet someones to join their family.

They are parents of a little girl (perfect for me to play with) and her baby brother. We are going to their house tonight to CELEBRATE with many others. Champagne will be flowing (or apple juice in my case).

Please go visit and send the love to Julie and Steven. We are over the moon for them!

Wave chasing

More Memorial Day Weekend Fun...

On Sunday morning, we went to the beach again at my insistence :)

We brought along my new chair (Mommy found it for me at a yard sale yesterday). Perfect for resting and eating Cheetos.

On the way home, Daddy was admiring a group of people who were cooking ribs and chicken on the barbecue and he snagged me a rib! Well, he probably wasn't really admiring the people as much as the smoker they brought with them to the beach!
After the beach, we went to Zoe's house to try out her new pool. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures with Zoe in them as she was wearing her birthday suit!

Note: bathing suit above and hula girl bathing suit courtesy of Mema.

On Memorial Day morning, Daddy and I read books in my new Playhut (bargain for $3 at a yard sale on Saturday!) and then we got ready to head out for the beach once the sun came out.

A nap on the way back to the beach and while everyone started preparing the barbecue...

After the beach, we didn't pass Go or collect $200, but went straight to John and Sharon's house for a barbecue....the Mother of all barbecues. You would never know that a year ago this household was vegetarian! We started with cheese stuffed meatballs and then there were pork ribs, lamb chops, chicken and NY steak with blue cheese on toast. A meat fest with a little corn and watermelon thrown in for good measure.

I love James. I am a little rough on him sometimes though.

James was trying to put his corn in the car for gasoline....maybe some day.

Here are Michael's ribs...

And, Daddy's lamb chops....

Grandma and Grandpa...they came all the way from Mammoth this morning to spend the afternoon with us! Grandma even jumped with me on the trampoline...

Me and my buddies...

Barbecue Fun!

Tonight, Julie and Steven invited us over for a very fun, relaxing barbecue. We played in a band, visited their wonderful garden (and ate from it!), jumped on the futon and more!

Yummy....

Toward the end of the night, we got a little crazy...
Margaritas and chocolate chip cookies are sure to wind us up!

But, instead, we relaxed and Mama read stories....
