At school, every week we have home "fun". I guess no one wants to call it homework or we won't be interested. I actually love doing my homework. It is time with Mommy or Daddy because often it has instructions that I can't read (yet). Sometimes, it is an art project of sorts. These are worksheets which is probably what we do half the time. I learn my numbers and letters and have fun along the way with a little coloring. Mama says my coloring has improved so much. I used to be more of a scribbler. The other day at my friend's house (M and m), I colored a large page M gave me out of her coloring book and it came out so beautiful (not bragging, Mama said).

Green Eggs and Kite Flying (October 2011)
One day in October, we went to the beach with friends and flew my Dora kites. They flew really well in the Venice Beach sky. We also went for a dip in the ocean.

Pretend Play - Facepainting and More
I love the princess dolls Auntie Peri gave me for my birthday. I don't really dress them up and down like some girls do. I play with them and take them places in my imagination. Here, they are taking a nap on the stairs.......and I often get out my paintbrushes and facepaint. I know how much I like getting my face painted so I am sure they love it, too.

More visiting with Pepa (October 2011)

I used some markers to draw some makeup on my face. For some reason, Jordan likes to make this face when Pepa holds him.
Pepa stayed with us from my birthday until the second week in October. We had some fun times. Grandma and Grandpa also visited for my birthday and we had a VERY full house. I hope they all come back soon. Mama said that next year Thanksgiving is at our house. It will be so much fun with everyone here in my home.

Gymnastics in September

Jordan finally started gymnastics at JAG gym. He was getting tired of pining away at his sister who was in the gym during her class. He started in September and went for two months, but for now, we have stopped due to scheduling. We signed him up for class at Gymboree and will send him back to the "real gym" at some point. For now, Gigi is going to gymnastics camp with friends at another gym over the holiday break (I got a deal for 5 days for $60!). If she really likes it at that gym, we might sign her up or sign her up again for ballet. She is having her first recital on Sunday for ballet and is SO excited.

Gigi's 4th Birthday (September 19, 2011)

Gigi had a wonderful 4th birthday party with friends from both Treehouse and Nature Child, the neighborhood and from other times during her 4 years with us. Peter from Treehouse came and played and sang. Nitai, the Facepainter from the Sunday Farmers Market came and painted Hello Kitty and more. We had pizza from Whole Foods and a delicious Hello Kitty cake to top off the day.

Reenergized and ready to go
Well, I have finally found a solution to be able to post again (with pictures!), so I am going to spend a little time this evening catching the blog up. I stopped posting just before Gigi's 4th birthday (9/19/11). We have had a busy fall and are almost at Hanukkah.
Jordan finally learned how to sleep (through the night) when we were in Florida for Thanksgiving. Since then, it has been all down hill. Two nights this week, he not only woke up, but one night he was up at 2:30 am and never went back to sleep and last night he was up between 11:45 and 2:30 am. As he was giggling upside down tonight, I saw two new teeth! To go with the other from a month ago, so now, he has 11 teeth :) Hopefully, the others come soon so that we can get some sleep around here.
Today, we had a Parent/Teacher conference for Gigi at her 3 day/week school. Her teacher raved about her manners (ALWAYS says please and thank you) and how well she treats her friends. She is right on par with her learning and her teacher really enjoys her. She said we should be proud of her, which we are! When I went to pick her up at school, she had drawn a picture for me -- her family. The picture had me, Allen, Gigi and Jordan and at the top of the picture were Mema and Eliza. Wow. Gigi loves doing her homework...she gets her homework on Monday and it is due Friday. She almost alway wants to do it Monday when she gets home from school (even if I don't want to!)
Well, those are a few recent updates....now to posting some pictures of the last few months with more updates...
