Here are some of my M/W/F school creations over the last month or so...

A fish!

A tree....

Me (blonde), Jordan and my BFF, Nyla playing near a tree with clouds in the sky

Bacon (very important to me)

A pigeon

A pear and a tomato

Library Butterfly Art

After school on Tuesday, Grace took me and Jordan to the library to make butterflies with other kiddos. Even though you were supposed to be at least 5 to participate, they let me AND Jordan make butterflies. Mine is above and Jordan's is below.

Festival Fun

Last weekend, we went to a festival to support a local school. There was a great band and other fun. Jordan and I decorated cupcakes...

And dressed up for picture taking

Ate some Kettel Corn
And bumped into friends! And, also a friend from preschool.

Balloon time!

Garden Update

The garden is doing great in some areas and not so great in others. The Japanese eggplant from last year was doing SO well. We would have had at least 100 eggplants growing. But, then, the dreaded aphids arrived in the thousands. We decided to take out the eggplant and plant two new ones, but first we researched the best organic solution to get rid of them. GARLIC! You can use garlic spray or garlic dust. We chose the dust and so far, they haven't come back. The broccoli (above) is doing fantastic, but taking over the garden a bit. The cukes don't have enough room to thrive, but they are doing okay. Below is our raspberry bush that looks beautiful, but no raspberries yet.

And, the banana peppers are starting to grow. The habanero pepper plant has many flowers and will have habaneros just in time for some yummy jerk chicken barbecue this summer.

Van Gogh

Gigi learned about Van Gogh this month in school. She came home and wanted to draw sunflowers. This is one of the sunflowers she drew. Just love this!

Hiking Point Dume and Paradise Cove Beach

We hiked up Point Dume to a beautiful view of the ocean. We saw a humpback whale (or as I told Mama, during the week at NatureChild, I saw a "baby humpback dolphin that looked like Shamu").

I used my skills to get down the mountain

And, at the bottom we rested and had a snack.

we saw lizards and California poppies

After hiking, we landed some great beach seats at Paradise Cove.

I went swimming.

while Jordan shared peanuts with Pepa

We have water!

A year or more after we planted the garden, we finally have water for the beautiful fountain my friends bought after we lost Eliza. Thank you, Pepa, for making it happen!

Morning Jordan...

or is it Gigi? Wearing Gigi's jammies and sitting in her booster.

Pepa Time!

Pepa is visiting us for a few weeks and we have been having a lot of fun with him.....well, I think Pepa would say most of the time we are fun. Nobody thinks it is fun when Jordan tries to get you to go into the garage to go bike riding at 6 am or 9 pm! Jordan's obsession with bicycles includes this bicycle pump. Most people use this to pump the bicycle tire full of air, but Jordan was showing Pepa how to blow air in the mouth for some fun.

This morning, we woke up, had breakfast and then built a tent. The door is above and I am peering through the tent's window below. Jordan and I pretended we were cats and then big sister and little brother.

After a quick trip to buy some coffee mugs at TJ Maxx, we went to Islands for a burger and fries.

And, then to top off the burger and fries, we had a watermelon popsicle the size of my leg! To burn off the burger, fries and popsicle, we went to the beach!

Music Class and Spring Break Camp

Jordan just loves animals. In particular, he loves Camille. Mystic, too, but she never gives any affection back so I think he gets that Mystic would rather be left alone. Here is just one of the many hugs he gives Camille.

On Sundays, Jordan is going to Music Together, a class I took when I was a baby. After class, there is a great play yard where we can play together. Last Sunday, I went to class with Jordan because he is still warming up to it. Pepa and Daddy went to the Farmer's Market and brought us these GIANT strawberries.

I went to my nature school's Spring Break Camp all week given that my other school was closed from Wednesday through Friday. We went to Point Dume, San Pedro to see the lost city and Malibu Creek Park. The pictures my teachers sent every day showed how much fun we had, even though our motto is "no laughing, no smiling and no having fun".

Mama was out of town in "Yew Nork" this week but on Friday she took us to the park for drop off. Jordan was interested in going with us and tried to brown nose Christopher. Soon soon, he will be a nature kid, too!
