Home "Fun" with Nyla and Chocolate-y Jordan

Home "Fun" for the week of Halloween was to color my favorite Halloween character. I found a picture of Minnie and Nyla and I colored it together and put it on a Halloween-decorated piece of paper.

Jordan loves the Trader Joe's chocolate covered pretzels. Can you tell?

Happy Halloween 2011

Jordan came with me to my Treehouse Halloween party. Here I am with Michael, the witch.

Mama and I decorated a pumpkin for the pumpkin contest in her office building. We used a LOT of glue and pom poms.

Peace Pumpkin

More pictures from the new Westchester Park

On Halloween night, we had a scary running video upstairs in our house. I was afraid that it made our house haunted and wouldn't go back in at the end of the night until Daddy stopped the video.

Trick or treating, canal-style!

Sock Mittens

In our house, we wear sock mittens. They work just as well as mittens or gloves and I have so many colors to choose from because I have so many socks. On this chilly morning, I was wearing snowman sock mittens. And, I picked out SpongeBob for Jordan.

Looks like he is liking his new look.

Halloween Crispy Treats

Mama and I made our first rice krispie treats together for Halloween. Mama has only eaten them but never made them before. We took 40 marshmallows....

mixed them with butter and rice krispies and...

Yum-o!

Our debut as Minnie and Mickey and Pumpkin Patching (10/22/2011)

We went to a spooky Halloween party the week before Halloween this year. The backyard was full of scary things. Jordan loved it but I was scared.

We also visited Shawn's Pumpkin Patch. Last year, it was running but this year, it was gorgeous. We rode the train again, had some watermelon drink, pet the animals and ran around.

Home "Fun" and Friends

At school, every week we have home "fun". I guess no one wants to call it homework or we won't be interested. I actually love doing my homework. It is time with Mommy or Daddy because often it has instructions that I can't read (yet). Sometimes, it is an art project of sorts. These are worksheets which is probably what we do half the time. I learn my numbers and letters and have fun along the way with a little coloring. Mama says my coloring has improved so much. I used to be more of a scribbler. The other day at my friend's house (M and m), I colored a large page M gave me out of her coloring book and it came out so beautiful (not bragging, Mama said).

I still love dressing up. Mama remembers when Zoe always had a princess dress on and I was not at all interested. Either she had an impact on me, or the inner dress up kid just hadn't come out yet. I am not ALWAYS a princess. Sometimes, I am a chef!

Party Party (October 16, 2011)

Many birthday parties this Fall. Not just mine, but we went to my Treehouse friends parties....all fun!

We went to my friend, Isabel's, house for a party. Her Mom and Dad cooked up some delicious treats and I spent most of my time in the pool. Jordan loved the rollercoaster and other play structures.

At the end of the party, I had my first s'more. Yum-o. I only discovered marshmallows this month. Whole. New. World.

Green Eggs and Kite Flying (October 2011)

One day in October, we went to the beach with friends and flew my Dora kites. They flew really well in the Venice Beach sky. We also went for a dip in the ocean.

When no bathing suit, why not use your birthday suit?

Green Eggs and Prosciutto? Who has this? Well, we do when the request comes in for Green Eggs and Ham and we don't have any ham. Luckily, I loved it.

Pretend Play - Facepainting and More

I love the princess dolls Auntie Peri gave me for my birthday. I don't really dress them up and down like some girls do. I play with them and take them places in my imagination. Here, they are taking a nap on the stairs.......and I often get out my paintbrushes and facepaint. I know how much I like getting my face painted so I am sure they love it, too.
