Major Maui Water Breakthroughs!

While in Maui, I swam A LOT in the kiddie pool and learned to jump the waves myself in the ocean. I started out the week unwilling to let go of Daddy's hand at the ocean and scared to go down the slide at the kiddie pool. Why? Well, my head might get wet and in my almost 4 years of living, I don't like that so much.

Well, my buddy Tati went down the slide and of course, she made it look so easy. So down I went....again and again and again. My head was soaked. Not so bad. It was fun!

In addition to pool breakthroughs, I was jumping waves and swimming in the ocean. And, on our last day at the hotel, we were given the hospitality suite to clean up. The room didn't have a bath so both Jordan and I took a shower. I haven't stopped taking showers since I came home. I take them with Mama and even have my own shower head in the "new" bathroom. Mama and Daddy thought they built a big shower so they could shower together. I have other ideas!

Iao Needle Hike and Paia for lunch

Our first hike in Maui was to Iao Needle. We were also hoping to find some swinging bridges, but that hike was closed off much to our disappointment.

After hiking, we went into Makawao and then to Paia for lunch. First we went to the Paia Fish Market and after we filled our tummies with growing foods, we went for Gelato.

Maui Lunch Spot: Cafe O'Lei

We had lunch twice at Cafe O'Lei in Kihei. Yummy fish specials for $9.99 including rice and salad. Tati and I had a smoothie afterward.

Maui Morning Walks

We stayed at the Marriott in Wailea (right next to the Grand Wailea and the Shops of Wailea). Every morning, Mama woke up with Jordan (usually before I was up) and took a long walk on the beach path with her cup of coffee. This view is from one of their first walks.

This was our first trip to Wailea beach on our first full day in Maui.

Our Awesome Trip to Maui

The webmaster has been lax on her responsibilities, but plans to catch up with some pictures from our recent Maui trip. We "followed" my friend Tati who had planned to be in Maui the week before Labor Day. We hiked, swam, jumped waves and ate some delicious Maui fish.

Our first night, we went to Gannon's, a newer restaurant, related to the Hailemaile General Store (one of Mom and Dad's faves). We went for Happy Hour since we were still on LA time.
