Swimming....not my favorite

This week, we started swimming lessons....EVERY day. The first day, I almost had my clothes off before we got there.

I couldn't wait. We were early and I dipped my toes in the water.

And, then I waited and waited on my Hello Kitty towel ... "Is it my turn?" I asked mama.

And, then it was my turn. This is Coach Syd. The other Coach's name was Gabrielle. I swam with both of them and we played a game with a pool toy. I was a little scared, but it was fun.

I cried a little.

But I told Mama at night that I had fun and was ready to go again tomorrow.

As the week went on, I became more scared....I didn't want to go in the water. I swam for a total of 2 1/2 hours all week, but spent a lot of time on the step because I insisted that we goback to the step. Mama doesn't know if it is because I am swimming with different people every day (which is the way this swim school gives lessons) or if it is trusting strangers even if it is the same person or if things have just changed since last year when I loved the pool and jumped into Daddy's arms every day....whatever it is, on Friday, I cried almost the entire lesson. So, for now, we are going to get to a pool with Mama and Daddy to get me more comfortable before going back to "lessons"...

and, I am okay with that.

Mimi's and Ivy's Birthday Parties

This weekend, we went to two birthday parties - Mimi's 3rd birthday and Ivy's 2nd birthday.

Mimi's party was in their backyard....here I am with Daddy.

Julie, Steven, M&m and their aunt Katie were there, too!

Heeerreeee's Mimi!

And, a yummy cake....

Mimi has a bunny and the bunny was loose in the yard. Everyone was chasng the bunny, but particularly Melese.....

Ivy, the guest of honor, and her papa...

Ivy's birthday was on Sunday at noon....when we arrived, I was sleeping.

But, I was definitely not going to miss out on cupcakes, crafts and bouncing!

I made a cool bag at the craft table.

I did a lot of bouncing in the bouncy house and even made sure Daddy had some fun.

6 week doctor visit...Jordan is still tiny

Jordan is still tiny....and he sleeps a LOT...

But, sometimes he knows when Mama is taking a photo and he takes a peek

On August 4th, Jordan was 21 inches (15th percentile) and he weighed 7 lbs, 6 oz....the pediatrician wasn't worried, but Mama was. Jordan is supposed to gain 1 oz per day and he only gained 5.5 oz in 13 days. He is now less than 5% for weight. So, Mama was ordered to go see the LC (Lactation Consultant) and come back for another report card 3 days later. In 3 days, Jordan gained 5.5 oz!! The same amount he had gained in 13 days before. So, he is now 7 lbs, 11.5 oz. Doesn't he look like he has some chunk on his legs?
But, compared to Mama's hands, he is still TINY.
Next visit: 2 months of age in 2 weeks

Super Saturday with Mama

Mama took me to breakfast this morning and we had the 2-2-2 (two eggs, two bacon, two pancakes) at Joni's. I had a pancake and one bacon....but, then I stole Mama's bacon....so Mama had one pancake and two eggs. I spread strawberry jam all over....yum! Now, I like pancakes more than my usual blueberry bagel.

Daddy surprised us before he had to go to work.

I traced Daddy's hand over and over.
Then, before we went and visited Daddy in the office in the afternoon, we all took a bath (well, Mama took a shower). Here is Jordan before bath.

After we visited Daddy at work, we went to Zoe's house to play (and sleep!) and have dinner.

And, then we cuddled a little before going to sleep.

Field Trip II - Hollywood Bowl

We went to the Hollywood Bowl with my school. There was music and we made an art project out of clay. We were supposed to make a sun, but can you tell what I made? Look at the video and the answer is there.
