Tree Hugging Music Lover

Tonight, we went to Tales and Toys to hear some music on First Friday. We saw Aliya! and her Mommy, Anne, there. After many songs, we walked up and down Abbot Kinney. Daddy bought dinner from one of the "trucks" and I hugged many trees. They even had a Grilled Cheese Truck!

Zoe's School....maybe mine, too?

Tonight, we went to an open house at Zoe's school. It is also the school where Richard, Nanny G's son went. I had so much fun playing on the train and in the little playhouses. I also colored and played in the room where Zoe spends most of her time. If Mama send me to a full day program (9-3) then this is the school I will probably go to (if they accept me!). But, if we go with half days, then Blueberry it is! Only time will tell.

Making Coffee

So, the last two days, I have been making espresso for Daddy, me and Mama. (I even tried it...yuck!). Video tomorrow. Mama came in just as I was finishing making the last cup!

Some Recent Gigi Quotes

"Daddy, I am so happy to see you" as Daddy walked in the house from work.

"Mama, my bath is broken. Fix it". Said tonight when Nanny G couldn't get hot water to come out of Gigi's faucet.

"I want to sleep in Grandpa's bed". Said many nights since Grandma and Grandpa visited and slept in the bed in Gigi's room. Or, "I want to sleep in Mema's bed", referencing the bed Mema and Pepa slept in when they visited. (Later, she referenced her bed as the bed in Mama and Daddy's room.....but didn't have an answer as to where Mama and Daddy's bed is).

When Mama told Gigi that only babies cry, big girls don't cry (as Gigi was crying), Gigi said, "I am Mama's baby".

Photo Shoot

On Sunday, I had my second official "modeling" gig. The owner of "Rabbit Kinney" stopped by to take pictures of me in my new awesome Rabbit Kinney t-shirt. They are organic and made in Venice. The challenge was that since it was the day after daylight savings, I only had a half hour nap. Even with the "shoot" at 3 pm, I did a great job for Jean. I showed her all the shapes I could make with Play-doh and even sat in a chair and chatted with Mama while she took some pictures.

Remember my first modeling gig for Sprout Baby?
I will post when the new pictures come in!

Happy Halloween!

Two of Mommy's friends are posting daily for the month of November as part of NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month). Mommy is 3 days behind, but is going to give it a whirl!

This is Saturday night, Halloween night, right before we went out trick or treating. Zoe and I are ready to go!

First, we went to M and J's house for a brief party before going to the Duck Park Party on the Canals.

On the way to the Duck Park, we saw this Mastiff in his sunflower costume.

And, at the Duck Park, I was made up.

After the Duck Park, we headed to this house (or 2 houses). Every year, Sharon who lives here does an incredible decorating job including a Haunted House. We didn't go in the HH because even Mommy was scared.
Here are some of the creatures on the outside of the house.

When you clap your hands or shine light at them, they start moving.....OOOOOHHHHHH!

I always chose lollipops over chocolate.

My first day of gymnastics!

Halloween Day was a busy day. We went to my first gymnastics class in the morning. I loved it so much that Mommy and Daddy let me stay for a second class! Two hours of gymnastics (and then lots of walking during trick or treat made for a very sleepy Gigi tonight).

A video of Daddy and me in the pit!

Here I am on the trampoline.

And the balance beam, saying "Mama Hold My Hand and Stop Taking Pictures!"

The bars

Not sure what this was, but it was fun!

More bars

And, a swing! (not really gymnastics, but it was fun)

Pumpkin Carving

We went to Michael, Lisa and Zoe's for a pumpkin carving evening. I brought my scissors.

I loved taking out the insides and kept showing everyone my bowl, thinking that was what was the point of all this.

Mama started carving and I was upset that she was hurting my pumpkin.

Here is our finished product!

Our new housecleaner and sous chef

On Sunday, Mommy had people over for Lisa's shower. I was helping clean before everyone came.

Then, I was Daddy's sous chef in making the fruit salad...

Here's the finished product!

Reading to Grandma

Mama was talking to Grandma on the phone and I wanted to talk to her to thank her for sending me my new Elmo books. After thanking her, I started reading to her!

Foodie Heaven

Last night, we had a bunch of friends over for a foodie's and wine lovers paradise! Daddy cooked up mushrooms on toast which was a big hit (how could it not be? mushrooms, butter, cream, sherry, onions....yum), asparagus, mussels and lamb chops. Friends brought a range of cheese, ceviche, hering and wine, of course.

This is Daddy with Phil. Phil is a childhood friend of Michael and Mariangels who Mommy and Daddy met in Spain in 2001. Phil lives in LA, but also owns caves in France where he spends a lot of time. Some of the above wine is from there and is from 1990 and before.

Danny (in orange) is also a friend of Michael's and Phil's. He used to live here in LA. He moved to Czech Republic where he is from and lives there with his wife, Stania (below). Stania is wonderful....she doesn't speak English, but it is still fun to spend time with her.

Danny cooking the second batch of mussels. And here I am with the tongs doing the tong dance and my daily jump over the counter.

Music at new Culver City Mall

Nanny G took me to a new music class at the new Culver City Mall. I went two days this week....one day with Nyla!

How is this outfit? My Halloween shirt and a purple skirt! I picked it myself.
