I like standing....

Here we are at lunch today....I just kept standing up. Now that I can crawl and stand, sitting is no fun. But, today when I was in my high chair, Mommy asked me to sit 3 different times and I sat down. Mommy was surprised that I actually understood what she was saying. Like she thinks I just listen and don't learn! At some point, I may have selective hearing but for now, I am compliant!

Laguna Beach for Breakfast at the ocean...

This morning, we went to Laguna Beach for breakfast and a walk around town. As you can see from the picture of me and Grandma and Grandpa, we had a great view of the ocean and it was a gorgeous day. Mommy and I shared an omelet with cheese, eggs (oh yeah, forgot to tell you I can have egg whites now), mushrooms, potatoes....In the afternoon, we went to a gathering of Duckies and Ducklings from the Ducky board. The pictures below are of me in the jumpy house...

Newport Beach and beyond...

Today, we went down to Newport Beach...we went to a late lunch at a Mexican restaurant. I had some beans and flour tortilla, guacamole....and even had some LIME! Mommy, Daddy, Grandpa and Grandma shared some lobster and shrimp (Mommy said I can't have it yet, but she tells me I will love it later when I can).

Out to dinner with Grandma and Grandpa (oh, and Daddy, too)

Tonight, Daddy took me, Grandma and Grandpa to dinner at Rockenwagner's newer restaurant on Abbot Kinney before we went over to the Venice meeting regarding no overnight parking. Grandma and Grandpa were entertained at the meeting with the "colorful" people of Venice making their opinions known. We had fun!

The NINE month report...

Today, I went to see Dr. Hamilton for my 9 month report card. I was 20 lbs, 5 ounces and 29 inches. 90th percentile for height and 75th percentile for weight. Still growing at the same pace in height and weight. I have officially been outside Mommy's body for longer than inside. Here I am giving myself a nice clap while being weighed.

1st Birthday party for Elle!

Today, we went to my neighbor, Elle's first birthday party. I went in the bouncy house for the first time and loved it. I didn't really want any of her birthday cake. I don't have a sweet tooth, other than for fruit. Mommy hopes it stays that way.





Before the birthday party, I went swimming in the front yard and sat in our new beach chair. Can you see my mosquito bites? They love me.

Swim and Gym

Today and yesterday, I went to swim and gym, my new class at the YMCA. It was so much fun. Here are a bunch of pictures from class (Friday with Daddy and Saturday with Mommy).

I'm 9 months! And Grandma and Grandpa are here!

Today, I am 9 months old! Wow, I have been out here almost longer than in Mommy's tummy. Grandma and Grandpa just arrived and we went out to Lido Grill to celebrate. Check out my new hippopotamus placemat. Now, I can eat by myself at restaurants without making too much of a mess. (well, these pictures don't show it very well....it sticks to the table and has a pocket to catch my droppings.)

Father's Day in New York

Mommy and Daddy took me to New York because Mommy had some business on Monday. Since Sunday was Father's Day, we all went so that we could be together. We had a great time....walked through Central Park, visited FAO Schwarz, went shopping at Daffy's, ate great food, visited Uncle Ike and went to Scarsdale to visit with Uncle Reuben and family. Aunt Vicki was a surprise visitor and she brought her parents (Joe and MJ) who I had met before. They are the ones who bought me my cool wagon.

I loved New York, but I also had a hard time dealing with so much stimulation. So many sights and sounds. Soon, I will have to show you some of my very cool new clothes from Daffy's. I may wear one outfit to a party this weekend, and if so, I will post a picture.

Malibu and Mazzy's Birthday

Today, we went to Malibu to Paradise Cove in the morning for breakfast. After breakfast, we played in the sand and put my toes in the water.

Then, this afternoon, we went to Mazzy's 2nd Birthday party. Here's some of the fun we had with the Wiggles.

French Open, Farmer's Market and Lots of Crawling and Standing Practice

This morning, I woke up at my usual 5:45 just in time to watch the French Open Women's Final. Anna Ivanovic won! Mommy and I were both cheering her on. We went for a walk to the beach and then Daddy made Mommy, Mema and Pepa a fritatta with mushrooms and artichokes. I had an egg and some of the mushrooms and artichokes. After practicing some crawling (see video below), we went to the Farmer's Market which is where all the pictures from this post came from. Mema bought me some new sunglasses and a hat (see photo in the slideshow above). We had a wonderful day...

NEWS FLASH! I am crawling!! and Mema and Pepa are here

Last night, Mema and Pepa came from Florida! We went to dinner and then I went right to sleep. I can't wait to spend time with them over the next week.

During the day, I started crawling....not quite the "regular" crawl, but I am getting myself across the floor to toys and that's all that matters!



Here I am at breakfast this morning. Since Carmen is coming today, Mommy let me eat my own pears, cereal and yogurt. What I was able to eat was delicious, but I think I used it more like finger paints on my high chair.




And, here is where Pepa walked in....and I was smiling at him. How great to see him this morning.
