Malibu and Mazzy's Birthday

Today, we went to Malibu to Paradise Cove in the morning for breakfast. After breakfast, we played in the sand and put my toes in the water.

Then, this afternoon, we went to Mazzy's 2nd Birthday party. Here's some of the fun we had with the Wiggles.

French Open, Farmer's Market and Lots of Crawling and Standing Practice

This morning, I woke up at my usual 5:45 just in time to watch the French Open Women's Final. Anna Ivanovic won! Mommy and I were both cheering her on. We went for a walk to the beach and then Daddy made Mommy, Mema and Pepa a fritatta with mushrooms and artichokes. I had an egg and some of the mushrooms and artichokes. After practicing some crawling (see video below), we went to the Farmer's Market which is where all the pictures from this post came from. Mema bought me some new sunglasses and a hat (see photo in the slideshow above). We had a wonderful day...

Proof of my crawling!

NEWS FLASH! I am crawling!! and Mema and Pepa are here

Last night, Mema and Pepa came from Florida! We went to dinner and then I went right to sleep. I can't wait to spend time with them over the next week.

During the day, I started crawling....not quite the "regular" crawl, but I am getting myself across the floor to toys and that's all that matters!

Here I am at breakfast this morning. Since Carmen is coming today, Mommy let me eat my own pears, cereal and yogurt. What I was able to eat was delicious, but I think I used it more like finger paints on my high chair.

And, here is where Pepa walked in....and I was smiling at him. How great to see him this morning.

We went to the Himalayas!

Tonight, we went to a Himalayan Restaurant on Venice Blvd. It was Aunt Julie's idea because she saw the restaurant's write-up in the LA Times Food section a few weeks ago. So, Mommy met me and Daddy and Julie and Steven on her way home from work. I was a little sleepy, so I wasn't interested in eating at first. But, then I got my second wind and tried some Spinach Nan, Saag Paneer (spinach and cheese) and Chicken with mango and cilantro. The meal was delicious and the company even better.

On the Santa Monica Pier

After the birthday party, we walked along the pier and then went to Bubba Gump for lunch. Here are a few photos of me and Daddy and of some crazy guy that was balancing cups of blue water on his chin!

And, after a long trip to Florida and back and a birthday party and some ocean air, here I am cuddling with Mommy. I am STILL sleeping after 3 hours....

Saya's Birthday Party at the Aquarium

Today, Mommy and I woke up really early (2 am California time) and got on a plane from Orlando to Los Angeles. I was very tired so I took two naps on the plane and before I knew it, we were home. We went straight to Saya's birthday party at the Santa Monica Aquarium. We saw jellyfish, starfish, sea cucumbers and other sea creatures. They even let us touch some of them. There was a storytime and we sang Happy Birthday while all the guests had a cupcake (except me). This was my first birthday party and I look forward to going to more!

Last Day in Orlando

After breakfast today, we went to go bike riding on one of those bike limos. I fit in the front seat, but then we decided it was TOO HOT to go. So, we just took pictures and pretended to go. I also went for a swing on a big swing overlooking the lake.

Here I am with Uncle Steve taking a walk. He was so much fun to play with. Somehow, he was always able to make me giggle.

We went to a yummy tapas restaurant tonight in downtown Orlando. I tried some mushrooms, figs and spinach and some bean, but Mommy wasn't exactly sure what kind. Daddy would have loved this restaurant. We called him for a wine recommendation! Here are Grandpa and Grandma....and a self portrait of me and Mommy.

Congratulations, Cousin Zack!

Today, we spent the whole day (after swimming!) in Tampa at Zack's graduation. We got there a bit early. Once they opened up the stadium (Mommy said there were 1,000s of people there), we got great seats in the 3rd row up. Shortly after, my cousins, their other grandparents and their mom and Eric came and sat with us.

We are all so proud of Zack. He graduated 8th in his class! He must be really smart because his class had a lot of people....maybe 500? Zack is going to Tulane in the Fall in New Orleans. I have never been there, but Mommy promised me that we will go visit...

After graduation, we went to the Melting Pot. I started to "melt", but incredibly, as tired as I was, I didn't melt down too badly. I didn't really nap except for maybe 25 minutes at the end of graduation and about an hour in the car on the way to Tampa. I tried a little of the cheese fondue and otherwise, played by myself with the Graduation Program. For some reason, I love anything made of paper (books, newspaper, graduation programs, etc.). I fell asleep at the end of dinner (10:00 East Coast time!), but then woke up in time to get in the group picture. It was a beautiful photo for Zack to remember his graduation day.

Hooray for Zack! Here are some pictures from the day

Swimming Before Graduation

Grandma and Mommy took me to the pool at the hotel before we had to get ready for Zack's graduation. I met some girls and as always, started babbling away...
