Jordan already has his first girlfriend. After only a few playdates at the park, he is kissing her goodbye. So sweet.

See you soon!
Yesterday, we had a playdate/barbecue with friends we have known since Mama's days at LRN (2000). Mystic was found by Anton on the streets of Long Beach and soon became part of Mama and Daddy's family.
Our friends are off to the "other coast", but we hope to spend time with them in Grandma and Grandpa's town Myrtle Beach where Deena's Dad lives and go with them to where Anton is from (South Africa) sometime in the next few years.
Thanks for the memories and looking forward to more. Wishing you love and prosperity in your new ventures!

NC Bonfire
On Saturday night, the long awaited bonfire with my friends took place. Some new and old friends came and some friends from my other school who are going to camp with me also joined us. Christopher put up the big teepee and Kelli set a beautiful table for people to share food brought to the gathering.
Christopher also chopped the wood and everyone helped build the bonfire.
And poof, there it is.
I helped Jordan with his "make-up".
Doesn't he look great?
And the sun started to set.
We made hotdogs and marshmallows/smores on the fire. Listened to music. And played our hearts out.
My BFF also came. Always a better time when she is anywhere.
We hugged and giggled.
And Jordan tried to stand up boogie board on the sand.
The perfect s'more.
And hugs to end a long evening at 9:30 pm.

Birthday Party Saturday
First up, a 6th year birthday party for Mazzy! We rode ponies and played with baby animals.
And, then my friend from school! I had the fairy make swords for both me and Jordan who was napping during this one.

Field Trip to the Huntington
This week, we went to the Huntington with one of my preschools. We spent a few hours in the Children's Garden. Luckily, we were given the heads up that there were water features and we all wore our bathing suits.
This instrument made very cool sounds when we dropped rocks through it.
This sand had metal in it and we were able to form sculptures on this magnetic feature.
The mist was so much fun to play in. I lost my friends and couldn't find them in there.
What a fun "Butterfly Skip Day" at the Huntington.

Jordan's Wordy-ness
Slowly gaining more vocabulary.....but always communicating.
If he can't tell you want he wants, he shows you.
Last week, he pulled Mama into the back yard to try to get her to pick up the poop and then mow the lawn. Of course, the lawn was mowed two days before.

From the garden and more
This weekend was relaxing with a spring fling at Gigi's elementary school, a beach birthday party and a neighborhood friends bbq before one family heads to New York for the summer. First, we had a good crop of blueberries and tomatoes to start out our Saturday morning.
There was a baby alligator for touching.
And Gigi applied her own face paint and Jordan's.
An afternoon/evening beach birthday party!
And music with "Susan" (really, Heidi). She was George Costanza's girlfriend on Seinfeld. When we mentioned it in class today, she was so funny and modest. We all have our past .... we don't talk about our first job, i.e., scooping ice cream at Baskin Robbins she said. Maybe just slightly different that one of her earlier jobs was being an actress on a tv show that 90% of people my age watched or still do!
