From our garden...

Well, the new blueberry plants are actually producing blueberries.  The old ones are not...at least not yet.

We also have 5 banana peppers that we have picked.  Maybe mama can figure out how to make something in the Vitamix with them!

Our Mother's Day Hike

On Mother's Day morning, we went to Sullivan Canyon with our friends for a hike.  Jordan was into it in the beginning but became very tired quickly

I showed everyone the mustard flower and we all tasted it.  It tastes like broccoli.

Jordan walked back to the car with Daddy while the rest of us went on.

The wildflowers are blooming!

And we saw some cactuses with beautiful flowers blooming out of them.

Family Reunion - Party in the Park

Every two years, Dr. A puts on a party in the park to celebrate our families.  We got together with friends, had some cupcakes and snow cones and ran around.

Oh, and I became Hello Kitty.

and built a marshmallow building

Jordan FINALLY likes reading

Jordan is approaching 2 and he finally loves us to read to him.  And, of course, even better if Gigi reads to him.  Here she is reading her favorite book when she was a baby.

And he is cracking up!  He fell asleep reading this other favorite on the way to Dr. Acacio's party in the park.

"All About My Mom" by Gigi

Mommy's name is Deb.  She's four years old.  Her birthday is September 19.  Her job is to clean up my toys and mess.  She wears a ring on her finger.

Mommy has brown eyes and brown hair.  Her skin is the same color as mine.  She wears purple and pink lipstick.  She's shorter than Daddy.  Her favorite colors are pink and purple.  She likes to wear pink shirts, purple pants and red shoes.

Mommy has a light blue car.  Actually it's kind of gray.  She drives it to Costco and Target.  She buys chicken at Costco and toys for me at Target.

She likes to eat eggs and bacon for breakfast, steak for dinner and peanut butter ice cream and icicles for dessert.

She makes pancakes and bacon for my breakfast.  She pack me cream cheese and jelly sandwiches.  It's my favorite!  And she cooks steak for my dinner.

Mommy has a Dad.  His name is Bob.  Grandpa Bob lives in Hawaii.  He's about seven or eight years old.  His job is to sweep the floor.  His wife is Linda.  She's five years old.  Her job is to mop the floor.

Grandpa Bob gave me a Sleeping Beauty Barbie.

She has a bedroom.  There is a TV and a shelf with puzzles and toys on it.

She doesn't really sing. But she reads me the Hugging Tree.  She likes to pull the corners of her mouth to make a funny face.

Mommy sleeps with my brother Jordan and me.  She hugs me and I like it.

She turns the song Jeremiah the Bullfrog on and off.  It's so funny and Jordan likes it.

Sometimes she goes out with Daddy for dinner.  I don't know where they go.  My Nanny Grace takes me to the movie.  She hugs Daddy in my room.  He makes steak for her.

The best thing about Mommy is she kisses and hugs me.  To make her happy, I give her kisses and hugs.

Maui Wowee

Our trip to Maui was relaxing and fun.  We had great family time and also time with friends.  We also were able to witness Maui's second annual fire knife competition.  There were 9 competitors on Friday and 3 finalists on Saturday.  Below I am holding J's hand while watching the fire knife dancing on the night before we left (part of the luau).

On the last morning of our trip, I made a beautiful bracelet in the hotel lobby.

We sure hope to go back to Maui again soon, but likely not next year.  We will be celebrating a huge milestone and Maui is too far for everyone to come.  Until next time, Aloha.

Our last day in Maui

On our last day in Maui, we went to Mama's Fish House for a yum-a-licious lunch (for Mama and Daddy).  Jordan and I went swimming at the pool in the morning so we were tired and both fell asleep on the way.  I woke up and colored a picture with Daddy.

A little Albarino followed by:

Mama's favorite was the beef in papaya.

Dessert was a chocolate martini:

After lunch, we played on the beach.  Jordan wanted to be a climber just like me.

After lunch, we went into Paia and saw this beautiful rainbow on the way to get Jordan something to eat at Mana Foods.

I got my first (and only) Shave Ice.

Bye Maui.  See you next time!
