Food in Maui
Mama and Daddy ate some delicious seafood on this trip, as always. We went to the Eskimo Candy Seafood Market and Deli for lunch one day and they had the poke bowl above.
Our favorite restaurant because of location and good food was Tommy Bahama's. We ate there 4 times. It was my favorite because the bartender gave me a whole family of monkeys to play with.
Mostly, Mama and Daddy had white or rose wines given that it was warm, but occasionally, they had cocktails. This was their drink at the Four Seasons - sort of like a mojito, but with some lavender in it.
My favorite meal for the trip was a burger and fries. Here I am having one pool-side at the Four Seasons, but I also had one at restaurants and from room service. I had a lot of energy to build back up after all the swimming.
Jordan (above) was so thrilled to finally get his "bowie bop" (lollipop). He asked for one at least once a day, but of course, doesn't get one every time he asks. At the airport, Mama really wanted to buy a giant-sized Chupa Chup (lollipop) that had 15 pops inside, but really, Jordan doesn't need that many (unless he is going to share it with me!)
Another of our favorites was the morning blueberry muffin from the hut near the beach.

Twin Falls
On the early part of the Road to Hana, we decided to try the Twin Falls Hike. Mama really wanted to go back to the bamboo forest where she and Daddy hiked before we were born, but it is past Hana and quite a trip.
With our guidebook, we set out to find banana bread and waterfalls.
The flowers on this hike were beautiful. As were the waterfalls.
We even found a baby pineapple growing.
At the end of the hike, we made some new friends :) and had some banana bread.

Beach....ahhhh
Of course, we spent a lot of time at the beach, mostly in the early morning or later in the afternoon. Here, we are climbing the cliffs after sending mama off on a standup paddle board lesson.
Here I am swimming in the ocean after climbing all over the rocks at the tide pools in Honolua (north side of the island)
Here is one of our early morning beach visits. We took our battery-operated blender and made smoothies. No different than our mornings in Venice except we are AT the beach.
Cliff jumping in my jammies.

Pool Time in Maui
The kiddie pool has a nice "beach area" where we played with our Costco beach toys.
And, Mama kept telling Jordan to stop drinking the pool water. Yuck!
The kiddie pool has a few "big kid" slides. You have to be 42 inches to go on them. I am 42 inches but chickened out. Instead, I cheered Mama down both of them many times. We loved playing in the bottom of the slide until we were "scolded" by pool security to stop playing there.
Here I am at my first swim lesson with Miss M. I took 3 lessons from her. She is from Nevada and is a swim teacher.
When we went to our friend's pool to swim, we found a "Jordan filter" there.
The kiddie pool also had a fun "jungle gym" in the pool.
One afternoon, my friend invited us to the Four Seasons pool. Jordan went down the slide with Mama and then went down many many times all by himself.
Behind the hot tub, we went on a jungle exploration.
More lesson time. Jordan was wearing my shirt because he forgot his.
Learning to go backwards.
Jordan's boo boos poolside.
This is what happens after so much swimming!
