Off to Maui
We left for our 9 day trip to Maui on a Wednesday morning. Jordan insisted on being my porter. He plays with her suitcase a lot at home.
Mama has talked about possibly getting him his own for his birthday, but when she bought him a green booster seat recently, he still wants to sit in my pink one. So, if she gets him a different suitcase, he will probably still want mine. Jordan is all about me these days (or so Mama says)...."I want Gigi" which means, I want what Gigi has.
When we got tired during our trip, we both had comfy strollers. We made a stroller train at the Wailea Shoppes.

Family Hair Day (even Camille)
Yesterday, we ALL got our hair cut (and some got it colored). Even Camille got a cut, though not from Jonathan, just mama. Jordan's cut was his first official cut. Mama cut a little in the back a few months ago, but that doesn't count.

Library Butterfly Art
After school on Tuesday, Grace took me and Jordan to the library to make butterflies with other kiddos. Even though you were supposed to be at least 5 to participate, they let me AND Jordan make butterflies. Mine is above and Jordan's is below.

Garden Update
The garden is doing great in some areas and not so great in others. The Japanese eggplant from last year was doing SO well. We would have had at least 100 eggplants growing. But, then, the dreaded aphids arrived in the thousands. We decided to take out the eggplant and plant two new ones, but first we researched the best organic solution to get rid of them. GARLIC! You can use garlic spray or garlic dust. We chose the dust and so far, they haven't come back. The broccoli (above) is doing fantastic, but taking over the garden a bit. The cukes don't have enough room to thrive, but they are doing okay. Below is our raspberry bush that looks beautiful, but no raspberries yet.

Van Gogh
Gigi learned about Van Gogh this month in school. She came home and wanted to draw sunflowers. This is one of the sunflowers she drew. Just love this!

Hiking Point Dume and Paradise Cove Beach
We hiked up Point Dume to a beautiful view of the ocean. We saw a humpback whale (or as I told Mama, during the week at NatureChild, I saw a "baby humpback dolphin that looked like Shamu").

We have water!
A year or more after we planted the garden, we finally have water for the beautiful fountain my friends bought after we lost Eliza. Thank you, Pepa, for making it happen!

Pepa Time!
Pepa is visiting us for a few weeks and we have been having a lot of fun with him.....well, I think Pepa would say most of the time we are fun. Nobody thinks it is fun when Jordan tries to get you to go into the garage to go bike riding at 6 am or 9 pm! Jordan's obsession with bicycles includes this bicycle pump. Most people use this to pump the bicycle tire full of air, but Jordan was showing Pepa how to blow air in the mouth for some fun.
