Swimming, Part II

Yesterday, we went to Grace's friend's house to go swimming. I didn't want to leave the stairs in the beginning...I was scared again. But, with a little time, I was swimming with Grace, visiting the frogs on the side of the pool and giving them kisses and jumping off the side. We are going to swim a lot more at this pool and maybe I can learn to swim without swimming lessons. Grace is a great teacher. I love her.

The Jordan Smile

Mama has been on a mission to capture Jordan's beautiful smile. Unfortunately, all of the pictures are blurry....she tells me it is because if the camera is right in front of his face, he won't smile....he stares at the camera. So, the camera is moving when Mama tries to capture the moment. Eventually, a smiling photo with no blur will appear....if I know Mama, she won't give up.

Jordan's Two Month Doctor Appointment - He's Growing!

Jordan is not as tiny as he used to be. He went to Dr. Seuss (I mean, Dr. Hamilton) yesterday and he weighed in at 8 lbs, 11 oz. On his last visit 16 days ago, he was 7 lbs, 11 oz, so he has gained 16 ounces....exactly what Dr. Hamilton wants (an ounce a day). He was 21 3/4 inches (gained 3/4 inch), so he is still 15% for height and 5% for weight and 10% for head circumference (15 inches).

Here is a picture of my brother from Friday. He fell asleep and grabbed on to Mama's necklace.

Another Mema fashion statement

Mema - I went to school on Monday in this outfit. I still had my princess and the frog makeup on, put on the dress you bought me last year and added my Belle crown. Underneath, I am wearing my bathing suit because we play with water at school and I always get wet.

Jordan's 2 month birthday

Today was Jordan's 2 month birthday. We started the day at the Farmers' Market. I dragged Mama and Daddy to get some princess makeup. Ariel was there and I asked her for the Princess and the Frog makeup. Do you like it? We then headed to Bryon's house to see his new home. We had a late lunch and I watched Cinderella on his big screen. I look forward to going back to visit when Safia is there. Jordan is holding Daddy's thumb while I was watching Cinderella.

Crafty Friday

On Friday, Grace set up the backyard and Meazi, Lyla and Melese came over....

We cut all different shapes and made art projects.

Don't you love Meazi's project?

Another field trip to Seaside Lagoon

Before going on my field trip with Grace, I harvested more tomatoes from my garden...
and tried on Mama's shoes!

Mema -- look - I am wearing the heart bathing suit you bought for me a year ago.

I heart Shamira (my teacher)....in September, I will become a Ladybug and Shamira won't be my teacher anymore :(

Tomato Harvest

We harvested tomatoes from my garden yesterday. They were delicious!

Both cherry tomatoes and roma tomatoes. Here is my "crop".

In the afternoon, we went to the park. First, I played with Zoe and her friend, Chloe, and Lucy, of course.

Richard chased us around the park. Later, Nyla came with her Mommy.

Beach Rock Climbing

We went to the beach to go rock climbing with Z and Y.....here is Y surfing on a rock...

And, we did a lot of jumping off the rocks!

Jordan Update - Smiling and Heavyweight Champ

This week, Jordan started smiling....more than just the sleeping smiles that some people say are from gas. The above picture was taken by my friend Julie at the hospital on June 23 when Jordan was 1 day old. He sure looks like he was smiling.

Jordan is a heavyweight now. As of Friday, he reached my birthweight (I was 8, 2.6 and he was 8, 2.2). Mama went to the lactation consultant again and he gaind 8 ounces in 7 days!! So, that is more than an ounce a day. Mama and Jordan are doing a great job!

In addition to smiling, Jordan sometimes sticks his tongue out at me!
