Foodie Heaven

Last night, we had a bunch of friends over for a foodie's and wine lovers paradise! Daddy cooked up mushrooms on toast which was a big hit (how could it not be? mushrooms, butter, cream, sherry, onions....yum), asparagus, mussels and lamb chops. Friends brought a range of cheese, ceviche, hering and wine, of course.

This is Daddy with Phil. Phil is a childhood friend of Michael and Mariangels who Mommy and Daddy met in Spain in 2001. Phil lives in LA, but also owns caves in France where he spends a lot of time. Some of the above wine is from there and is from 1990 and before.

Danny (in orange) is also a friend of Michael's and Phil's. He used to live here in LA. He moved to Czech Republic where he is from and lives there with his wife, Stania (below). Stania is wonderful....she doesn't speak English, but it is still fun to spend time with her.

Danny cooking the second batch of mussels. And here I am with the tongs doing the tong dance and my daily jump over the counter.

Music at new Culver City Mall

Nanny G took me to a new music class at the new Culver City Mall. I went two days this week....one day with Nyla!

How is this outfit? My Halloween shirt and a purple skirt! I picked it myself.

Nature Walk in Temescal Canyon

On Friday, instead of going to school, we met at Temescal Canhyon for a nature walk. We saw spiders, ants and other bugs, quail, trees, a huge spider web with a sleeping spider and more. We stopped by a huge tree and had storytime. Fun!

Daddy's Day Out

Today, Mama had to go to a conference. I went with Daddy and Michael and Zoe to Santa Monica by BUS! We went to the pier for what was promised to be some musical fun, but couldn't find it....so instead, we made up our own fun.

And, while at the Carousel, we saw Baby Grace!

Visiting M&m, Julie and Steven

Last night, we went for a fun visit. Daddy was at a business meeting so Mommy came home after work, packed me up and away we went. Here is my cute boyfriend, Melese.

His Mommy (Julie) even gave me the thrill of letting me hold him. He is so sweet, isn't he?
And, look who were under M's high chair?

Moe-Zeus loves Melese, too!

And, here is the talkative (incredibly talented in the English language), sweet, funny, joyful Meazi. In less than two months, she has more of a grasp on English than I do!! And, I have been learning for two years :) She even corrected Mommy who thought Melese's toy in the first picture was a butterfly ("No, it is a bee!").

After a delicious dinner (thanks, Julie!), we colored and read, bounced around Melese's pack and play, rode the pony and after getting in our jammies, washed our hands.

And, then it was hugs and kisses goodbye. See you again soon!

Lazy Sunday and Sunday Neighborhood Dinner (by Daddy)

Sunday was a lazy day.....I had multiple painting and Play-doh sessions. Sometimes I painted with my left hand and sometimes with my right. Then, Daddy started cooking and it was time for me to dress up! (uh oh, says, Mama....dress up is beginning)

As an ode to Gourmet, Daddy cooked up the gnocchi recipe in the recent (and possibly last?)issue of Gourmet Magazine (October 2009). How can they be closing down? Daddy learned a lot from Gourmet.

YUM!

Gnocchi and yummy pork!

A little mid-meal bike riding...

And, post-meal pool gymnastics! (video below is even funnier)

And, after bath, snuggling with Issy for some bedtime stories.

Blueberry Day at the Pumpkin Patch

Today, everyone from my school went to a family farm and pumpkin patch! We had so much fun. (Unfortunately, I can't share pictures of my friends without permission.)

We arrived early and took some pictures with the big pumpkins and in the pumpkin patch with no one there!

We then met two Scottish Highlander Cows (female) and fed them a carrot.

On top of the haystack...

I picked this pumpkin just for Mama!

Off to meet my friends!

At 10:30, we gathered for the PIG RACES!

Running through a tunnel...

Our tractor ride....through the sunflowers and many other crops

I took L by the hand to go through the corn maize....we got lost!

And, of course, we couldn't leave without a pony ride.

So tired, I fell asleep in the car in the middle of eating my fruit. My pineapple is all over me!
