Congratulations, Cousin Zack!

Today, we spent the whole day (after swimming!) in Tampa at Zack's graduation. We got there a bit early. Once they opened up the stadium (Mommy said there were 1,000s of people there), we got great seats in the 3rd row up. Shortly after, my cousins, their other grandparents and their mom and Eric came and sat with us.

We are all so proud of Zack. He graduated 8th in his class! He must be really smart because his class had a lot of people....maybe 500? Zack is going to Tulane in the Fall in New Orleans. I have never been there, but Mommy promised me that we will go visit...

After graduation, we went to the Melting Pot. I started to "melt", but incredibly, as tired as I was, I didn't melt down too badly. I didn't really nap except for maybe 25 minutes at the end of graduation and about an hour in the car on the way to Tampa. I tried a little of the cheese fondue and otherwise, played by myself with the Graduation Program. For some reason, I love anything made of paper (books, newspaper, graduation programs, etc.). I fell asleep at the end of dinner (10:00 East Coast time!), but then woke up in time to get in the group picture. It was a beautiful photo for Zack to remember his graduation day.

Hooray for Zack! Here are some pictures from the day

Swimming Before Graduation

Grandma and Mommy took me to the pool at the hotel before we had to get ready for Zack's graduation. I met some girls and as always, started babbling away...

Chatting with Dolfi

On Monday, while waiting for Daddy to get his coffee at the coffee shop, I was chatting it up with Dolfi

Dinner at Gabby's

Tonight, we went to Gabby's. After reading the menu, I ordered chicken and yams. Yum!

Beach Pictures!

My Pincher Grasp....Gourmet Pizza

Daddy was taking a movie of me having some of his homemade date/bacon/cheese pizza so that I could show off how well I use my fingers to grasp and eat. Of course, since the camera was rolling, I couldn't help myself but to show you all my wave and clapping. Well, just a little.

Dancing With Myself and Waving to My Twin

Here are two pictures of me from this weekend....in the first one, I was dancing with myself at Macy's while Mommy was shopping....in the second one, I was riding up Washington Blvd, saw my twin and started waving at her.

Update on my development....

I realized today that I haven't told you much about my developmental progress in the last few months. Let's see....here are some of the things I am up to:

STANDING: I can stand up pretty well as long as I am supported by something. Usually, I am on my toes, but sometimes not.

CRAWLING: As of today/yesterday, I am moving from a sitting position to an almost doggie position. Before, I was only moving from sitting to my tummy. I also can crawl backwards. If only I realized this, I would actually be able to get where I want to.

WAVING: I have been waving for a few weeks. Now, in the last few days, I am using "the wave" as an attention getter. Wherever we are, I wave to strangers so that they won't stay strange for very long. They think it is cute and then start to talk to me. I have learned that the wave really works.

CLAPPING: This morning for the first time while I was playing with my new puppy, I started clapping when the puppy was counting from 1 to 10. Well, you couldn't really hear the sound of the clap, but my hands were moving in the motion of a clap.

MOVING IN A CIRCLE ON MY TUMMY: I have been doing this for awhile....ever since the day we went fingerpainting.

I can't think of any more right now, but if I do, I will edit this entry from my crib.

Sushi Extravaganza

Last night, we went out for sushi. Once I got the hang of the chopsticks, I had a great time. Before you all report Mommy and Daddy to the authorities, don't worry, they only fed me the cooked stuff. I had Black Cod and some chicken. Yum!

Relaxing Saturday....

Today was a very relaxing day....this morning, Mommy took me a walk to Venice Pier and we then walked all the way down to the Fig Tree Cafe with Daddy for breakfast. We then spent a bunch of time at Ferguson and Expo selecting items for the house. This afternoon, Mommy and Peri got manicures/pedicures while I took a nap. We all went out to dinner to SorTino in Brentwood. I had delicious fish and whole strips of carrot....and some bread (see below). Here I am after dinner playing peek-a-boo.

Yummy Italian bread at dinner

Here I am before dinner trying to lift myself up on the side of the toilet. Luckily, Mommy was there so I didn't fall back and hit my head

Today, I turned 8 months old!

But, somehow, we must have been so busy enjoying all the moments because we don't have one single picture of me on the camera. That's okay, we make up for it with pictures on almost every other day. Mommy thinks I am growing up too fast. She thinks it is fun to celebrate every month, but now I really am getting closer to ONE! (year that is)

The Beach

This morning, Mommy and Daddy took me to breakfast (Canali) and then we went straight to the beach. I was getting a little tired, but once I got there, I was just so excited to see the rushing water. Unfortunately, Mommy's battery on her camera ran out so we didn't get many pictures. Even though the water was cold, I loved it....I can't wait to go back. Maybe tomorrow when we celebrate my 8th month birthday?

Outside the Box

This afternoon, Mommy and I went to Outside the Box again...we sang some new songs and did some new things (played soccer, used the plastic tubes that expand -- see picture below -- and more). Daddy picked us up afterward and then I took a 2 hour nap! I woke up just in time to go to dinner around the corner at Lido. We had chicken, mushrooms and potatoes. Yum!

Fun Day with Dr. Acacio and Friends in Laguna

Today, we had a great day at Dr. Acacio's Fun Day. Dr. Acacio is very special to our family, so when we received an invitation to go to a day in the park with Dr. A, of course, we wanted to go. And, I got to spend some time with my friends and meet some new friends.

Mommy and I went sliding down the "jumpy slide"....it was fun! Daddy took this video, but the funniest part was seeing Mommy try to climb a ladder made for 5 year olds. Oh, and did I mention there were over 200 families there...even in the 97 degree heat!

So, this picture is funny. Mommy told me that Amanda (2nd from the left) and Connor (next to me) are "betrothed". And, here I am trying to hold Connor's hand while Amanda looks on with the "Hey, he's mine!" look. (Front Row: From Left to Right, Alexandra, Amanda, Connor and me; Back Row: Dr. A holding Isabel)

Dr. A and Mommy Isabel and me This is my friend, Isabel and her Mommy, Ariel. Mommy is getting tired of putting each picture up separately, so here are the rest of the good pictures from our day.

Moo Moo Musica

Nanny G has taken me to a new class a few times in the last week. Mommy has been wanting me to go to Moo Moo Musica, but the classes are only Monday through Friday. So, Nanny G took me and I had a great time. She will probably tell you more on the Nanny Times. Here are a few pictures from class.

Our Mother's Day

This morning after Daddy made Mommy a yummy frittata (Artichoke and Bacon), we went to the Farmer's Market and then stopped for a coffee at Pete's....here we are at Pete's...

Even though it wasn't sunny, we went on a wonderful hike in Malibu. Mystic and Camille came with us. Along the way, we saw beautiful flowers and a few horses.

Hiking is EXHAUSTING!

After hiking, we went to Cross Creek and had lunch at Casa Escobar. Even Mystic and Camille joined us on the patio. I had delicious fish, black beans, tortilla and some corn soup. Mystic and Camille also had some fish...here they are looking for more!
