Just Another Tuesday

Today, Daddy made me and Mommy a Caterpillar Omelette (takes after the concept of a Caterpillar Sushi Roll). Can you see his antennae? It was delicious!
Nanny G took me to the library today for Spanish storytime. We always have so much fun together.

Tonight, I was drinking my milk and lied down on the floor with my buddy, Mystic

Dancing and Dinner with Saya

Tonight, I went to Saya's for dinner. On my way, we stopped to buy ice cream and I heard some music coming from Hinano's. I did a little sidewalk dance (see above video).

At Saya's, we had yummy chicken, homemade corn bread, beans and ice cream, strawberries and raspberries for dessert. I had fun playing with Saya and her toys (tricycle, scooter).

Farmers Market Sunday - Pony Rides and More...

This morning, Mommy and I went for what has become our weekend morning ritual...walking on the pier on Venice Beach. This morning, I brought my bubbles. If you listen VERY carefully to the video, you will hear me say "Bubbles".

I tried to chase the birds, just like Mystic and Camille, but they always fly away before I can touch them
After we got home, Daddy joined us and we went on our way to the Farmer's Market. We walked there (well, I strolled and was let out occasionally). Here is one occasion. I was walking near this beautiful mural and Mom got a few shots.

Then, I decided I needed to sit on every parking curb. I tried them all and it seems that they are all the same in terms of comfort.

We finally arrived at the Farmers Market and Daddy took me to wait in line for my very first pony ride. When I was first put on the pony, I didn't like it. I was scared, but once the ride started.....well, you can see my reaction for yourself in the video.

Here's another curb. They are perfectly sized for people with short legs. We also listened to some great music.

I got a very cool doggie on a balloon. I kept trying to bite it but luckily, it didn't pop!

This afternoon while Mommy was giving herself a pedicure, I stole the Q-tips...

One of my new tricks is to take Mystic and Camille's dog treats out of the pantry and to give them some. Here Camille has her whole head in the bag.

Before we went to Saya's for dinner (those photos to come at another time), we went to the Marina Waterside and did a lot of walking. I should sleep long tonight!

We stopped at the fountain and Mommy let me put my hand in....

....and my feet in.....aaaahhhh

Tile Shopping; Seaweed Salad; New Word

This morning, I was in the bathroom and was saying "Bubbles", while pointing to the bubbles Mommy uses so much (in tomorrow's entry, Mommy actually got the word on video). So, I might be up to 15 words? Starting to lose track.
Today, we went to the tile store to pick out the last few tiles we need for Mommy and Daddy's bathroom. While I was there, there were 2 boys (maybe age 6 and 10). I walked over to one boy and said "Hi" and then gave him a hug. A little while later, I did the same with the other boy. Mommy thinks I am going to be big trouble with the boys.
Tonight, for dinner, I tried a new food....seaweed salad. Yum!

Picnic with Nanny G

Mao's....Ginger Ale

While Mommy was in Seattle on business this week, Daddy, Nanny G and I went to Mao's for some delicious Chinese food. Here I am drinking homemade Ginger Ale from a straw. Yum!

Happy 13 Months to Me!

Today was my 13 month birthday. Didn't I just have my 1st birthday, like yesterday? Anyway, I started out the day with another walk on Venice Pier with Mommy. Mommy didn't bring the camera, but she really should have....I kept staring at my shadow and then tried to touch it. Mommy explained to me that everywhere I go, my shadow will follow me. Not sure if I really get it. We met a nice Russian lady who has a grandson my age and then we met a woman whose daughter just had a baby and she wanted to know about my stroller. While walking on the pier, I really can't see the waves/ocean, but I then noticed them through a "vent" in the pier near the handicapped station. I bent down to see them....wow. Beautiful.

After our walk and a small breakfast (big teething day so I didn't eat much), Mommy took me to Lisa's house where we looked through over 200 board books. We bought 40 to add to my collection at only $1 per book! Wow, my library really expanded today and I am so excited.

Mommy and I went shopping for a little bit in Manhattan Beach (where Lisa lives). Mommy was looking for a few shirts to go under suits for her trip to Seattle tomorrow (boo hoo). She ended up getting a very cool jacket and I got some great Haba wooden blocks (using my birthday money from Mema and Pepa). I was going to order them over the internet, but now I don't have to. I still have some money left over. I am sure I won't have a hard time figuring out what to do with it!

Then, this afternoon, Mommy and Daddy took me to Playa Vista. The last time we went, I was only crawling and it was very hot so it was hard to enjoy it. I had so much fun playing with the big kids. I went down 3 different slides, but my favorite was the round enclosed one because it was a very fast slide. We ended up meeting Julie's friend A and her daughter, A. I shared my snacks with A. I hope I can see her again soon.

This is my favorite slide.....so FAST!

I am dizzy..

I am uninhibited.. (not like I even hesitated for a minute to jump down the slide and Daddy was surprised. Could you hear him?)

More Milestones

BLOWING A KISS: At the end of this week, I blew Mommy a kiss when she was leaving to go to work. (Mommy melted).

NEW WORD: Today, I said cheese (just like I say Peas -- "Chee-ce", rhyming with "Peace").

TUMBLING SKILLS: A few weeks ago, I learned to "tuck my head" on command so that I can do somersaults. I do it at the gym, on the bed and on the floor at home. Mommy was showing me how she does headstands the other day, but I think it will be awhile before I do that!

SLIDING: At the park in the last week or so, I have been going down the "big" spiral slide all by myself. It is so much fun!

Fishing on Venice Pier on Saturday Morning

This morning, Mommy took me to Venice Pier at around 7 am. I was still in my jammies, but Mommy thought a little bit of exercise and learning to fish would be a good activity for that hour. Who doesn't exercise in their jammies? It was a beautiful morning and all the fishermen (well, there was one woman) were busy catching fish. Here I am trying to figure out exactly what they are doing. I walked almost the whole length of the Venice Pier. After that, I was thrilled to get in the stroller as I was exhausted and hungry for Daddy's yummy breakfast of salmon and cream cheese omelet with avocado!

Under the Sea with NannyG

Today, I went to Under the Sea with NannyG. Here I am in my mobile home (I wish I could upload the video of me cooking for NannyG, but unfortunately it is too long and Mommy hasn't taught me how to shrink it.) I jumped around in a bouncy house and played with a lot of toys and people (both big and small).

Duck, Duck, Goose

Tonight, when we went to the Duck Park, I kept pointing to ducks and saying "Duck!"
