Beach Picnic Breakfast and Class!

Today, we had class in the afternoon and there were only 3 babies there so we had a lot of room. Daddy even joined us. The sensory class was all about drumming. The first half of class we banged around the drums....

and sat on top of them.



....and stood inside them...



I kept going over to the teacher's doll. Here I am kissing her. Mommy promised that she is going to buy me a doll....maybe this week!

Amanda's 4th Birthday Party

Today, Mommy and I went to Montrose (don't even know where that is) for Amanda's Princess Birthday Party. There was a real live Princess there, but I really didn't pay attention to her. We ate pizza and cake and played a lot. Mommy got to see people she hasn't seen in a long time (Adrienne, Kate) and their kids. We also got to see Connor and his Mommy, Grisel and Daddy, Jeff.

It was 90 degrees, but that didn't stop me from crawling all over the lawn. I would have gone into the jumpy house, but there were mostly 4 year olds in there and they might have crushed me (so says Mommy). Here I am playing with Claude (his twin brother, Noel was there, too -- their Mommy is Adrienne). Claude was hiding and I was trying to find him.

This is Princess Amanda, the birthday girl. When Mommy was little, she said they played Pin the Tail on the Donkey at birthday parties. Here, Amanda is starting the game "Pin the Wand on the Princess".

On Friday, Nanny G took me for a picnic with Grace and her nanny. As you can see, we did a lot of playing and moving. What a gorgeous day!

I wouldn't let Mommy feed me cottage cheese by spoon and she insisted that I have some. She had to deal with the consequences.

Happy 4th of July from your Little Firecracker!

Today is my first 4th of July! We spent some time at the beach, took many walks around the neighborhood and then hunkered down to make sure Mystic, Camille and Murphy weren't too scared because of the fireworks. Maybe next year, we will go see the fireworks, but not this year.

Tonight, we packed up a picnic and went over to visit Aunt Julie, Moses and Teddy. Before we ate, we checked out their incredible garden .... we even had a huge cucumber (made into cucumber salad) from the garden. Yum. I also tried a rib...well, I sucked on it (see pic above). It was so great to see Julie. It's been awhile because we have been so busy.

More Gym Time...

We went to my YMCA class today, but we didn't know it was canceled for the week. They had open gym time instead of class which was just as much fun. You can see how I say hello to my new friends below -- haven't learned that putting my hand in someone's face is not quite the way to go.

My new toy from Grandma and Grandpa

When we got home today, a new toy arrived. The good news is that I play with it while STANDING. Although you can't hear it perfectly in this video, the toy says "Open" "Closed" "Hello" "Bye-Bye" and every time it said "Bye-Bye", I would wave (even if sometimes I had a delayed reaction).

I like standing....

Here we are at lunch today....I just kept standing up. Now that I can crawl and stand, sitting is no fun. But, today when I was in my high chair, Mommy asked me to sit 3 different times and I sat down. Mommy was surprised that I actually understood what she was saying. Like she thinks I just listen and don't learn! At some point, I may have selective hearing but for now, I am compliant!

Laguna Beach for Breakfast at the ocean...

This morning, we went to Laguna Beach for breakfast and a walk around town. As you can see from the picture of me and Grandma and Grandpa, we had a great view of the ocean and it was a gorgeous day. Mommy and I shared an omelet with cheese, eggs (oh yeah, forgot to tell you I can have egg whites now), mushrooms, potatoes....In the afternoon, we went to a gathering of Duckies and Ducklings from the Ducky board.
